Lamina CLG for Bagpress s.r.o in Slovakia

Based in southern Slovakia, privately-owned Bagpress s.r.o. is a leadingproducer of square bottom bags and luxury packaging in the region, servingcustomers in Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and other neighbouring EUmarkets.

“We have been producing flexoprinted paper packaging products since 2008," explains Zoltán Cséplő, CEO.“The main production items are corrugated boxes and 1kg paper bags with asquare bottom for flour. Our bags are made of 70-90 gsm white kraft paper andprinted with one to eight colours. We produce flour bags indirectly for theTesco, Kaufland, Lidl, CBA, Spar, Aldi retail chains.”

The company has a wide range of printing and converting machinery,including machines from Japan and Germany. It converts paper manufactured inthe EU. “We also produce corrugated packaging for our partners, but also forour own products”, adds Cséplő.

“The production of boxes has increased in recent years, so we recentlyadded a new CLG Gluer from Lamina System,” explains Szilárd Cséplő. “We optedfor this machine to help reduce the amount of hand-work being utilised andincrease automation within the factory. This new machine has already had a goodimpact on our business, as it has significantly reduced the amount of manualwork in the box production department.”

He continues, “Our task is to meet customer demands for replacingplastic packaging with paper-based packaging, as it is ecological andrecyclable. In order to meet the requirements for packaging boxes andmaterials, we check the requirements of our partners and implementedsignificant packaging developments. After testing the machine, we have improvedour packaging offering. Feedback on suitability for correcting ourmanufacturing process is very important to us. Custom packaging is the bestsolution and we plan to use the new Lamina CLG Gluer to test the packaging andadapt it to customer requirements.”
